Marseille Manager, Andre Villas-Boas Resigns As Club Signed Player He Didn’t Want At The Club

The former Chelsea and Tottenham Court manager offered his resignation as the club signed Celtic midfielder Olivier Ntcham, a player he said no to.

“I submitted my resignation…” 😳 Marseille manager Andre Villas-Boas said, citing a disagreement over the Ligue 1 club’s sporting policy following the signing of Celtic midfielder Olivier Ntcham.

“I just want to leave Marseille. I am not asking anything else from the board. I haven’t heard back yet about my offer to resign.” said Andre Villas-Boas in an interview.

​​Marseille’s directors have accepted the resignation of André Villas-Boas. Owner Frank McCourt must now agree.

Olivier Ntcham was Celtic’s lowest We Score rated player (5+ starts) in the league this season (6.46). Marseille the are currently 9th in the league having played 20 games.
