Tems and Omah Lay‘s song have topped Uganda’s TOP 100 songs on iTunes a few days after their arrest.
Although these two Nigerian artists have been arrested, it seems they are still doubling up their monies in Uganda after topping the chart.
Omah Lay and Tems were arrested on December 14 and detained by the Police in Uganda for violating the country’s COVID-19 laws after some local artists complained to the police to arrest them for performing during the pandemic season.
Omah Lay earlier confirmed their arrest in a post on social media and revealed that he was in police custody, but now he and Tems have been sent to court, and they are treating them so badly as if they have killed someone as they are being sent to court in handcuffs.
The Uganda Police also took to their official Twitter page and confirmed their arrest, which made Nigerian celebrities reacted, including Davido, Burna Boy, Wizkid, Tiwa Savage, Patoranking, and others by pleading to the Ugandan police to release Omah Lay and Tems.
